When you get up at 11am and then wander through the chilled streets of Brugge, the best thing to do is go on a tour of the only brewery within the city center..
A lovely place the halve Mann brewery, where they brew brugse zot.
A very nice tour guide that took note of our interest and knowlege of belgian beers.
The tour ended with a taste of brugse zot blonde…
Alex, you may have had this before, however this was direct from the brewery and as such completely unfiltered!
Due to bottle pressure etc. Etc. Brugse zot is not bottle conditioned and so the only way to get it unfiltered is from the brewery itself, and it is gooooood!!
We topped the beer off with some beer soup :p with ham and cheese chunks in it. Mmmmmmm.
See below :p

Stuck on a train from Frankfurt Hbf to Bruxelles Midi, in Limburg Sud.
Rather boring, kinda want to get to Bruxelles soon, so we can get to Brugge.
Superlame.
Edit!!

Get cheese, get paid!

It would be this…
The HR Giger museum and bar.
HR Giger; artist, sculptor, visionary and complete and utter headcase.
Most famous for designing all the creatures and most of the scenery within the Aliens quadrilogy.
He also has an insanely large catalogue of art, mostly involving penises, futuristic scenes and more genetalia.. Hmmmm. Sometimes it’s discretely there or merely suggested, other times it’s rather more blatant.
Obviously being an art gallery / museum I couldn’t take any photos in the building… However the bar was a free for all.. As demonstrated by plenty of rather.. No.. completely, rude yanks who would walk in, the barmaids would say “bonjour”, take some pictures and walk out completely ignoring them.
Dan and I could see after a while that this was pissing them off. We sat there enjoying a few drinks and a few brief photos..
Enough words, here’s a picture:

That may seem like a bizarre list to you city people… But out here in the forests of Slovenia that’s what we worry about!
Out of the forest for now, and will be on a train next time we’re in the trees.
Metalcamp was a lava-licious success. Could have done with being about 5°C cooler and a little more cloudy but overall was a pretty legendary week.
I would like to give special thanks to bambus and Angela Gossow (if i’ve spelt her name wrong, uh oh’s) for giving us a brutal final night and helping us invent a new drink.
Port, jäger, coke..
So named the Angela Gossow because it’s pretty delicious, but also pretty terrifying. And after enough of them you will sound just like her.
You read it here first, it’s our drink and if anyone offers you one in the future you can say you know who invented it.
Saving battery, turning phone off, laters..
